ABOUT US

 Critical care specialists focus on providing intensive, short-term, life-saving care and utilizing all avenues of treatment to give an acutely ill patient the best chance of survival. Our criticalist works carefully with our emergency team and other specialty services to ensure that each patient receives a whole-systems approach to diagnostics and care.

  • Unstable patients in need of or recovering from major surgeries 
  • Patients with life-threatening electrolyte derangements 
  • Infectious disease management/isolation
  • Advanced pain management
  • Point of care ultrasound
  • Blood Disorders 
  • Trauma 
  • Acute Abdomens - hemoabdomen, GDV, uroabdomen, bile peritonitis

  • Respiratory failure 
  • Standard oxygen supplementation (high-flow oxygen is coming soon and will be available at our new facility)
  • Pleural Space Disease - pneumothorax, pyothorax
  • Chest tube placement
  • Pneumonia

  • Disorders associated with abnormal behavoir and weakness
  • Status Epilepticus
  • Head trauma 

  • Feeding tube placement and nutritional support
  • Management of protien losing enterpathoy 
  • Acute hemorrhage diharrea syndrome

  • Addisonian Crisis 
  • Diabetic Ketoacidosis

  • Cardiac tamponade / pericardial effusion
